St Mary's Hospice @stmaryshospice
From September St Mary’s will be offering weekly drop-ins at Barrow library every Monday 10am to 12pm. The St Mary’s Hospice Family Support and Bereavement Service library project is a joint venture between St Mary’s Hospice and Barrow library. The aim is to strive to make Family and Bereavement Support more widely available and accessible to the public.
Lynsey Lawson said “We are delighted to be launching this new project alongside Barrow Library. We hope that the Library drop-in service will provide a safe and supportive space for members of the public to access information and support when they need it most”.
The drop in’s will provide an opportunity for people to find out about St Mary’s service and how it can be accessed, pick up leaflets, speak to a member of our team and even access support. A Confidential room and coffee and tea making facility will also be available.
Barrow Library located in Ramsden Square, facilitates a host of local groups and activities. It's free to join the library and to borrow books and all libraries have a range of adult and children's titles.
Ruth Prosser, Barrow Libraries Group Community Services Manager says:
“We are delighted to welcome this beneficial service and support to the Barrow area here at the library, and we would like to encourage as many people as possible to use it. It is great to support St Mary’s and look forward to working closely with them.”
