KS Musicals show-stopping donation 03-Mar-2016
Big thank you to Kath Parkinson, Lead teacher at KS Musicals and her talented team of 4 to 18 year olds. KS Musicals put on a Christmas concert in December
and raised an amazing £200 for St Mary’s Hospice. The Christmas Concert has just celebrated its third year of running. The show was a lot of fun and
featured different musicals; this year’s included songs from Hairspray, Wicked and Disney!
Kath explained: “The hospice looked after my aunty three years ago, and I know they help so many people.”
Daisy, aged 11, one of Kath’s students added: “I’ve been coming to KS Musicals for four years. Singing is my favourite! I think fundraising is a good
idea for St Mary’s Hospice. It was quite easy and so much fun in the Christmas show, lots of parents came and bought tickets.”
Thanks to Kath and her students £200 will help patients and their families when they need it most. £200 could cover the average petrol cost of £1.50 for
133 Hospice at Home visits or provide 24 delicious meals on St Mary’s Inpatient Unit at £8.30 per meal.
