Paws for Thought Success!
More than 40 dogs brought along their owners to support St Mary’s Hospice at their Paws for Thought event on Sunday 25th September. The three mile sponsored dog walk took place in Ulverston, starting off at St Mary’s Hospice, progressing down the canal before returning to the hospice for a well-earned drink. The event looks set to raise over a fantastic £1,600!
Zoe Guest, Head of Income Generation said: “Our Paws for Thought fun dog walk is really well supported and we were delighted to see so many dogs and their owners take part. It’s been a fantastic day and we were lucky to have had the weather on our side. Thank you to WCF for their sponsorship and providing goodie bags as a well-earned treat for all our dogs taking part.”
Amy Faragher with Rosie the dog won St Mary’s raffle prize of a free family and dog photo shoot kindly donated by Jonathan Lynch Photography. Amy and her family have raised a wonderful £200 which will help patients and families when they need it most. Thank you to everyone who took part and individual paw-traits of each dog will be available for their owners soon.
