St Mary's Hospice @stmaryshospice
St Mary's and St Lady's fundraising success!
Brilliant work from pupils at Our Lady's, Dalton and St Mary's, Ulverston. They raised a grand total of £1343.15 from their December nativity play collection and the reindeer run. Sam Forrester was this years winning child who raised the largest amount for the hospice bringing in £402.
The children chose our charity to raise money in loving memory of Mrs Poyton's husband Alan and Sam Forrester's Grandad who had received St Mary's care.
We spoke to a couple of these talented young fundraisers and they shared their thoughts.
Eve, from year 6 said "We raised an incredible amount of money, we couldn't have done it without everybody. We did what we wanted to do, we wanted to help people".
Harry, from year 6 said "We wanted people to remember that Christmas is a time of giving . I'm really surprised at the amount we raised".
Sky, from year 5 said "We didn't want people to be alone at Christmas, we wanted them to have friends and family around them"
