Support hospice care in your community 18-Mar-2015
The UK hospice movement leads the world in palliative and end of life care. Over 200 hospices across the country provide 26 million hours of care each year, supporting 360,000 people including patients and their families.
Hospice care could not exist without the support of local communities, including the 125,000 volunteers who donate their time and expertise to local hospices. More than 80% of the public believe that everyone with a terminal illness should have the right to hospice care, and 1 in 2 people know someone who has been cared for by a hospice.
