St Mary's currently has 9 shops; the aim of these is to provide a regular and sustainable source of income that supports the good work of South Cumbria's only adult hospice.
To us, our shops are the public face of St Mary's and bring awareness of what we do into the heart of all our communities. We sell a wide range of donated and some new goods; and it is the generosity of our supporters, through their donations and purchases that enables the shops to provide vital funding for all St Mary's services.
We believe our shops should reflect the same high standards of excellence and professionalism that are found in our delivery of services, and to this end we try to provide all our supporters with the most attractive shopping experience possible while keeping prices low. We want you to be able to find a bargain but enjoy your shopping at the same time!
At St Mary's we pride ourselves in offering a wide variety of items at the best possible price - visit one of our shops today, you don't know what you might find!
Our shops sell a wide variety of donated items that include: Ladies, men's and children’s clothing; Shoes, handbags and accessories; Books, CDs, DVDs and videos; Good quality bric-a-brac; Toys and games.
We are always in need of good quality donations in all our shops. Please try to deliver items to a shop during opening hours or contact the hospice directly for help with collections. We are very grateful to all those who continue to donate to our shops. We can accept clothing in any condition as we can still raise funds from damaged and worn out items.
Sadly, there are occasionally people who operate bag drops, masquerading as a charity and asking for your donations; or who steal filled charity bags from people's doorsteps. If you are in any way suspicious about anything regarding collections then please either call the police or contact the hospice on 01229 580305.
