Corporate Events and Team Building

Corporate partnership with St Mary’s Hospice is a brilliant way to bring team building to your staff whilst supporting a well-known and trusted local charity. Boost morale within your workforce whilst motivating your employees and increasing productivity.

Corporate Events

Why not organise your own fundraising activity? There is no limit to the different events that have been held on our behalf over the years, from extreme challenges conquering not just 3 but 6 peaks, to elegant balls and even a music festival. Every little helps, from contributions on dress down Friday, to classic coffee mornings and fun quiz nights. We can provide you with help and advice as well as branded materials and social media coverage.

Case study – Stollers’ Let’s ABBA Forget-me-not Garden Party

Stollers are one of the largest and finest independent furniture stores in the UK. They are a fourth generation family business, proud to have built strong relationships with their customers over many generations. Since 1905, and the days of a humble market stall, they have slowly developed and expanded the store to bring you a complete shopping experience for your home, and can now boast a sales area of over 55,000 sq.ft. Stollers have always supported local good causes and St Mary’s Hospice in particular with their free furniture collection for unwanted items, but during 2019 they decided to go the extra mile, holding in-store fundraising activities as well as hosting a spectacular party in aid of the Hospice.

“We always try to put something back into the local community. Rather than spreading ourselves thinly, for 12 months we have taken St Mary’s Hospice as our charity partner, involving the whole company and it feels as though our charity fund has gone a lot further. We feel like we have made a real difference”

Event participation

Our events calendar provides the chance for everyone to get involved with supporting St Mary’s Hospice. Our annual Walk to Remember sees hundreds of local people join together to walk the 10 miles from Ulverston to Barrow at twilight – an act of remembrance and unity. Your staff might walk with us, or provide support through manning a water station or marshalling. If they would rather go the extra mile, we enter teams for the Coniston to Barrow and Keswick to Barrow walks. For the even more adventurous, there are night time mountain hikes or the chance to take part in Total Warrior or The Great North Run. All of these events provide staff with the chance to push their boundaries, bond with their colleagues and gain a sense of achievement, through fundraising or offering invaluable back up to those taking part.

Team building – a case study

GSK entered a team of 24 willing and able staff for Total warrior in 2018 – working as a team they overcame the 10km route with 25 punishing, military style obstacles whilst raising vital funds for St Mary’s hospice.
