What we do

Complementary Therapy

Therapies are provided for patients and their families, including family members who have been bereaved.

People are assessed and a treatment programme is agreed – individually or in a group.

Therapies Include:

  • Aromatherapy
  • Body Massage
  • Reflexology
  • Reiki/Therapeutic touch
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage
  • Relaxation
  • Meditation
  • Breathlessness Management Programme
  • Anxiety & Stress Management Programme
  • Fatigue & Energy Management Programme
  • ‘Moving On’ Programme

Group therapy is provided every Wednesday afternoon as part of the Day Hospice programme.

We also provide other group work sessions including:

  • Breathlessness Management
  • Relaxation Skills sessions
  • Young Patient’s Self Help & Coping Skills
  • Living with COPD

We accept referrals from the health and social care community and from patients and families directly.
