At St Mary’s we understand that expert end of life care for all is more important than ever. That’s why we’re proud to be taking part in Hospice Care Week from 4-8 October 2021. And shine a spotlight on the amazing work our teams provide, both at the hospice and across our community.
Hospice Care Week is an annual event recognising and celebrating Hospice UK and hospice care nationwide. It’s an opportunity to show the value of support, of care and of what matters to us as individuals at the end of life when we need it most.
Everybody needs support, choice and care. It’s vital at both the happiest and hardest times of our lives. But we need it most at the end of life, when time is precious. When we only have one chance to get it right, that’s why Hospice UK and St Mary’s Hospice exists to ensure we do #HospiceCareWeek
Did you know that each year, just 17% of our running costs are covered by NHS funding? This means that we rely on the support of our wonderful community to help us raise the rest. Find out how you can support us from buying a cake in our cafe, donating quality items or visiting our shops to getting involved in volunteering or fundraising! You can even make a donation online.
