Spiritual Care

Understanding a person’s spiritual needs is an essential aspect of St Mary’s providing holistic care, particularly at the end of life, yet many people feel ill-equipped to discuss spiritual issues.

Put simply spirituality is as individual as each of us, it is about “who we are” and what makes life meaningful to us. People don’t need to have a faith or be affiliated to a particular religion to experience spirituality or to be spiritual. Our past and future experiences throughout life help shape “who we are” and how we cope in the many situations we find ourselves in.
