Paul’s Story

Paul attended one of the Make, Do and Mend Workshops following the sad death of his wife ‘Jean’ in April 2018. Here Paul shares his story-
“I found out about the Make, Do and Mend Workshops through an advertisement in the local paper. I popped along to the workshop to find out a little bit more information and if it was something I would like to try. The team were extremely friendly and I instantly felt at ease. I found myself enrolled on the next 8 week programme”
“Whilst at the workshop I learnt new skills, shared experiences and support….Always over a hot cup of tea. It was really helpful to know that I was not alone with how I was feeling and I continue to meet others who attended the workshop now at the monthly coffee evenings.”

“I highly recommend people attending the workshop, even if it’s just to meet new people and get some company. It really has made a positive difference for me”
