Fundraising Volunteers at St Mary’s Hospice

At St Mary’s, the letter F in fundraising is meant for fun, friendly, and flexible—the types of opportunities volunteering presents.

We are quite aware that life tends to be busy with work, family, holidays, and everything in between. That is why our fundraising volunteer roles are all commitment-free.

Fundraising events can be lively, warmhearted, and brimming with community spirit; great for networking, having a bit of fun for such a noble cause, and, of course, raising the funds crucial for our patients and their families served around the area.

What’s Involved?

Oh, and it isn’t always about shaking those buckets! Some other volunteer duties might be:

  • Representing the hospice at third-party events
  • Raffle ticket sales
  • Assisting with setting up and running events
  • Manning stalls and selling merchandise
  • Acting as marshals
  • Raising awareness for St Mary’s

The person in this role:

  • Must be friendly and approachable
  • Should have an enthusiastic and dependable nature
  • Able to confidently engage others in conversation
  • Comfortable handling cash
