Heidi Bowron

Area Fundraiser

Heidi joined St Mary’s Hospice in May 2022 as our Area Fundraiser for the Furness area, covering Barrow, Dalton and up to Millom. She brings with her valuable experience from the hospice sector, having previously worked with Bay Hospitals Charity – University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust – and with CancerCare.

In her role, Heidi supports community fundraising across Furness, working closely with local groups, schools, and colleges who want to get involved with St Mary’s. She is often out and about giving talks to share the impact of the hospice, and she’s always on hand to guide and encourage anyone who would like to organise their own fundraising event – whether that’s a coffee morning or a skydive!

Heidi also helps coordinate some of our much-loved hospice events, such as the Elf Dash, and is the main point of contact for anyone taking part in larger challenges like the Tour de Furness or the Keswick to Barrow Walk. She is passionate about ensuring that every supporter feels valued and recognised for the difference they make to St Mary’s.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys cycling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
