Jane Ross

Jane is a Chartered Accountant with an extensive background in finance and leadership. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and later held key financial roles at Manchester Airport PLC. In 2003, she relocated to Cumbria to join CGP, a leading educational publisher, where she served as Finance Director before stepping into the role of Managing Director in 2015. After nearly two decades at CGP, Jane left in 2021, and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Medical Law and Ethics at Edinburgh University.

Jane’s personal experience of caring for two loved ones at the end of their lives has given her a deep appreciation for the compassionate, life-changing support that hospices provide to patients and their families. This passion led her to join St Mary’s Hospice as a Trustee, where she is committed to supporting its invaluable work. Jane is also a Trustee for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.

Based near Kendal, Jane enjoys spending time in the fells with her partner and their dog or cycling—depending on how her knees are holding up!
