Lynsey Lawson

Compassionate Community Team Lead

Lynsey joined the St Mary’s Hospice team in August 2023 and is proud to lead the Compassionate Community Service, which brings together the Family Support and Bereavement Team, the Living Well Team, and the Dementia Team.

Since qualifying as a Social Worker in 2005, Lynsey has held a variety of roles across both the statutory and voluntary sectors throughout Cumbria. This includes a previous role at St Mary’s Hospice, where she worked as a Social Worker and led the Family Support Team from 2016 to 2019.

With a continued passion for palliative care and the mission of St Mary’s Hospice, Lynsey was honoured to return in 2023. She believes that through strong partnerships, creative thinking, and truly listening to the needs of the community, hospice services can become more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
