Registrations open for Keswick to Barrow and Coniston to Barrow

We’re excited to announce that registration is officially open for the Keswick to Barrow and Coniston to Barrow sponsored walks on 9th May 2026.

These iconic long-distance challenges are back and calling on walkers of all abilities to take part in one of the most unforgettable fundraising events in the region. Whether you’re aiming for the full Keswick to Barrow (K2B) route or prefer the slightly shorter Coniston to Barrow (C2B) distance, now’s your chance to secure your place and start training.

About the Challenge

  • Keswick to Barrow is a breathtaking 39.5-mile walk that takes you through stunning Lake District scenery before finishing in Barrow-in-Furness.
  • Coniston to Barrow offers a fantastic alternative at 21.1 miles, perfect for those stepping up to a big challenge for the first time.

Both routes are team-oriented community highlights, bringing together supporters who are passionate about pushing themselves while raising vital funds for charities like St Mary’s Hospice.

Once you’ve signed up, simply email fundraising@stmaryshospice.org.uk with your walker ID and whether you’ll be joining the K2B or C2B team to start your hospice fundraising journey.
