This year’s exclusive St Mary’s Hospice bauble designed by Linzi Buckmaster our Grange shop manager and Retail Comms Lead, takes inspiration from the Victorian tradition of the ‘language of flowers,’ reimagined with delicate blooms that carry timeless meanings of love, memory, and hope.
Shaped as a heart – the symbol of love itself – each glass bauble is individually hand-painted from the inside, making every piece a tiny, unique work of art. No two are ever the same.
Within its design, every flower tells a story:
Snowdrops – hope returning with each new season
White Lily – a quiet light that never fades
Ivy – enduring love that winds its way through time
White Hellebore – gentle strength through winter’s hush
Mistletoe – a kiss from those we miss
Holly & Berries – joy found amongst the evergreen
White Rose – love that lives on, softly held in memory
More than a decoration, this keepsake is filled with meaning. Whether hung on your Christmas tree or kept on display all year round, it is a symbol of beauty, remembrance and enduring love.
By choosing this bauble, you are not only bringing home a piece of art, but also helping St Mary’s Hospice provide care, comfort, and compassion to local families when it matters most.
Each bauble nestles in a satin lined box for safekeeping and has a printed insert explaining the flower meanings.
Priced at just £8.50 each they make a thoughtful gift to yourself or a loved one.
