The Memory Tree at St Mary’s Hospice

Our memory tree offers a unique and heartfelt way to remember a loved one all while supporting the vital work we do here at St Mary’s Hospice. Each engraved leaf gives you a lasting tribute, helping us continue providing compassionate care for those living with a life-shortening illness as well as their families.

The sculpture that sits outside the hospice has 250 leaves that provide a lasting tribute to your loved one. Families are always welcome to visit and reflect on their loved one’s memory.

  • Once the tree is full, it will be moved to our hospice garden, creating a peaceful space for remembrance.
  • A new tree will then be planted to continue this legacy.
  • Leaves can be engraved with names or personal messages for a donation to the hospice.

Thanks to the generosity of a local business, the full cost of the sculpture has been covered. This means that 100% of your donation for an engraved leaf goes directly towards patient care and support.

Additionally, if you sign a Gift Aid declaration, your donation increases by 25% at no extra cost to you, making an even greater impact.
