Community Raises Over £136,000 in Inspirational Walk To Remember Event

St Mary’s Hospice is celebrating an extraordinary fundraising achievement, with this year’s Walk to Remember raising an incredible £136,082.26 in support of the hospice’s vital care and services.

The much-loved annual event brought together more than 1,000 participants, supporters, and volunteers — all walking to honour loved ones and make a meaningful difference. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, this year’s total marks one of the most successful Walk to Remember events to date.

“We are absolutely thrilled and completely lost for words,” said Mel Dixon, Events and Challenges Manager at St Mary’s Hospice. “Every single person who donated, walked, or supported us has helped make Walk to Remember what it is today. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.”

The funds raised will go directly towards providing compassionate care and support for patients and families across the community, ensuring that the spirit of remembrance continues to create a lasting impact.

St Mary’s Hospice is already looking ahead with excitement to next year’s Walk to Remember, promising another uplifting and unforgettable event that brings people together in celebration, reflection, and support.
