Hospice Champions – Open Days

Become a Hospice Champion 💜

We are looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to become Hospice Champions for St Mary’s Hospice.

As a Hospice Champion volunteer you will- support events, help raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and support our mission within your local community. Helping more people understand that hospice care is about living well, not just end-of-life.

This is a flexible volunteer role, with full training and ongoing support provided, no previous experience needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to make a difference.

Come along to one of our Hospice Champion Open Days to find out more about the role, meet the team, and see how you can get involved. Our first one will be held on the20th of May from 12-4pm at the Marchesi Centre, Windermere.

At the session, you’ll learn more about:

  • The role of a Hospice Champion
  • How you can support your community
  • The impact of hospice care locally
  • Upcoming opportunities to get involved

You’ll also hear how you can:

  • Raise awareness of hospice services
  • Support fundraising initiatives
  • Represent the hospice in your community
  • Help break down myths around hospice care
