Strictly St Mary’s: Could you be a star of our dazzling line-up?  

St Mary’s Hospice is excited to launch our brand-new, glitzy fundraising event, Strictly St Mary’s, coming to Coronation Hall, Ulverston, on Friday 19th March 2027.

We’re currently on the hunt for some dazzling duos to join our line-up of Strictly stars. We already have a couple of well-known local faces waiting in the wings and, if you’d like to put your salsa hips to the test, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re open to every combination – couples, family members, colleagues, friends, same-sex or mixed-sex pairings. Everyone is welcome to show us their moves.

Our successful couples will be taught by a professional dance teacher, taking part in weekly ballroom-style dance lessons for eight weeks in the lead-up to the big night.

Each couple will also commit to raising a minimum of £500 for St Mary’s, making their Strictly journey just as much about fundraising as it is about learning to dance.

On the night itself, guests will enjoy a two-course sit-down meal with cabaret-style seating, welcome drinks, entertainment, and an auction and raffle, before our couples take to the dance floor to showcase everything they’ve learnt.

We’ll have our very own Strictly-style judging panel, along with our own versions of Craig Revel Horwood and Tess Daly, bringing all the fun, scores and entertainment you’d expect from Strictly. And, of course, at the end of the evening, one lucky couple will be crowned our Strictly St Mary’s Champions, lifting the iconic glitterball trophy!
