Our Compassionate Companies Network

Dear Compassionate Company,

My name is Annabelle Holloway, and I am the Corporate Partnerships Manager at St Mary’s Hospice. We are the local hospice serving the Furness and South Lakes area, providing free, compassionate end-of-life care and emotional support for individuals living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families. We are here for our patients and their loved ones from the moment of diagnosis, offering care in the hospice in Ulverston, in the community, and at home—24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

I would like to extend an exciting opportunity to your business—one that not only boosts your brand visibility but also connects you with a new audience and showcases your commitment to supporting our local community.

In 2024, St Mary’s Hospice proudly celebrated 35 years of providing care. To mark this milestone and ensure we can continue to offer our services for the next 35 years and longer, we are inviting local businesses to become ‘Compassionate Companies.’ By committing to donate £35 every month for 35 months, your business will help sustain our vital services. While our care is free to all, it is not free to deliver. We receive just one-fifth of our funding from the NHS, meaning 8 out of 10 of our patients’ care is funded through voluntary donations from the community—businesses like yours play a crucial role in this.

By joining as a St Mary’s Hospice ‘Compassionate Company,’ you will receive the following benefits:

  • An invitation to quarterly networking meetings with other ‘Compassionate Companies.’
  • A unique, dated ‘Compassionate Company’ logo for use on your website, social media, leaflets, business cards, and marketing materials.
  • Your company’s logo featured on a rolling banner and dedicated ‘Compassionate Companies’ page on the St Mary’s Hospice website.
  • A dated ‘Compassionate Companies’ Certificate to proudly display.
  • Social media and press coverage throughout the 35 months. We currently have over 11,000 followers on Facebook and enjoy regular coverage in The Mail and The Westmorland Gazette.

Please book your place today and help give back to your community. To get involved, simply reach out to me via email at annabelle.holloway@stmaryshospice.org.uk or call 07376 004183.

We look forward to partnering with you in support of this meaningful cause.

We’ve pulled together a handy leaflet with everything you need to know and all the details you need to sign up now.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Wishes,

Annabelle Holloway
