Friends smash Four Peaks challenge for St Mary’s

A group of four friends smashed the iconic Four Peaks challenge in aid of St Mary’s Hospice, raising over £4,000.

Jake Davies, Brett Wane, and Ryan and Lewis Bowron took on the Four Peaks on July 24th and completed the trek in just 44 hours.

This saw them face Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon, and Carrauntoohil – the highest mountains in Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland – all in the effort of raising money for us. The group of four, all of whom live around Furness, pushed themselves physically and mentally to the limit as they climbed through over 4,000m of elevation.

What an unbelievable achievement – the determination, resilience and teamwork they’ve shown has been nothing short of inspiring. Eight out of 10 of our patients are cared for by voluntary income, so taking part in fundraisers as such is vital to the survival of our charity.
