Bark in the Park

EVENT POSTPONED – SUNDAY THE 3RD MAY 2026

Bark in the Park is Back!
Sunday 3rd may 2026 | Ford Park, Ulverston

Get ready for a paw-some day out as Bark in the Park returns to Ford Park, Ulverston — a joyful celebration of dogs, community, and compassion, all in support of St Mary’s Hospice and Ford Park.

From 11am, the park will come alive with the sound of barking, laughter, and plenty of tail-wagging excitement. The heart of the event is our much-loved Fun Dog Show, with eight entertaining categories including Best Trick, Most Like Owner, Puppy Love (judged by you!), and the ever-popular Best Sausage Catcher. Whether your dog is a seasoned show star or just loves attention, there’s a class for every kind of pup. Judging will be led by our generous headline sponsor, Church Walk Vets. Entry is just £5 per category, and with only 25 dogs per class, we recommend booking early to secure your spot.

Alongside the show, you’ll find a fantastic mix of local stalls and dog-friendly traders offering treats, gifts, and goodies for both humans and hounds. There will be family activities to keep little ones entertained, as well as delicious food and drink to fuel the fun throughout the day.

But it’s not just about the fun — it’s about making a difference. St Mary’s Hospice receives just 17% of its funding from the government, and every penny raised helps us provide free, compassionate care to people and families in our community. Your support — and your dog’s best wag — helps make this possible.

So come along, bring your furry friend (or just your love of dogs), and enjoy a day full of joy, connection, and community spirit.

Admission is free for spectators, and it’s just £5 to enter each dog show category.
Follow us on social media @stmaryshospice for updates and behind-the-scenes peeks as the big day approaches.

Let’s bark for good — we can’t wait to see you there!
