Symptom Management Training

Symptom Management Training is suitable for Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates working in Acute, Hospice, Care Homes and Community Teams, caring for end-of-life patients.

This course is free to registered staff working in South Lakes, Furness and UHMBT Localities.

Overview:

The symptom management training day covers the following topics

  • Pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Secretions
  • Breathlessness
  • Agitation at end of life
  • Palliative care emergencies
  • Care in the last days of life
  • Bereavement

Dates:

  • Monday 7th September 2026
  • Tuesday 1st December 2026
  • Tuesday 9th March 2027

Timings from 9.30am to 4pm.

This course is free. However, places are limited so booking is essential.
