Woodland Wellness, Barrow

Woodland Wellness Barrow is for anyone living with dementia and their carers. Meet others, spend time in nature and be supported by St Mary’s skilled dementia team.

Set in the scenic surroundings of Barrow, the programme combines the therapeutic benefits of nature with physical exercise, offering participants an opportunity to connect with the environment, build social connections, and enhance overall well-being.

These inclusive sessions welcome individuals of all ages, including those with young-onset dementia. Woodland Wellness promotes both mental and physical health, boosts mood, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of empowerment and control. By encouraging participants to engage with the natural world, the sessions provide a space for relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation, helping to improve overall well-being.
