Corporate Giving

There are opportunities for companies of all sizes to work with us, from multinationals to local independent business and sole traders. Whatever your size, you can help make moments that matter for those impacted by life limiting conditions in South Cumbria. Donations of time and money enable us to ensure we are able to be there for those that need us, when they need us and for how long they need us. Be part of a movement that truly cares.

Pay for a Day or a Service

Financial donations help us to maintain and develop the wide range of services we provide that make a real difference. It costs a significant amount to provide our services each day. By making a donation to support a day’s care on our inpatient unit or fund all or part of one of our outpatient services, you can help local people during what is a most challenging and difficult time for them.

Moments that Matter

By signing up as a St Mary’s Hospice ‘Compassionate Company’, you will pledge to donate £35 every month for 35 months Click here for more information

Gifts in Kind

It’s not just financial gifts that help support the work we do, donations of gifts in kind or your professional services are valued too. Can you offer a product or area of expertise free of charge? We are always on the lookout for items we can use as tombola, raffle or auction prizes at our fundraising events too.

Volunteering opportunities

Your employees can gain and enhance numerous skills by volunteering, including project management, team work and communication skills. Your staff will feel motivated and could be given the opportunity to be creative and demonstrate their ability to meet challenges and take on responsibility. There are ongoing patient and non-patient facing volunteering roles at St Mary’s Hospice, as well as opportunities to create volunteering days unique to your company.

Corporate Volunteers – A case study

A team from Marks and Spencer in Barrow have visited the hospice to tackle jobs that just never quite get done. Providing the paint, materials and man power, they transformed the fundraising offices from drab and dreary to bright and cheery in less than a week in the summer of 2018.
