INFurness Supports St Mary’s with Moments that Matter

A local firm dedicated to supporting local businesses is also committed to supporting St Mary’s Hospice by making a regular, monthly donation. INfurness Ltd’s founder explains more:

“My name is Nick Emerson. I am  a born and bred Barrovian and Personal Trainer by qualification. However, in September 2019, after observing the ever-increasing challenges being faced by local businesses, for many different reasons, I launched INfurness Ltd. My purpose is to improve current opportunities and trading conditions for local business, subsequently increasing opportunities for the local community by building the level of inward, recyclable investment in the area. I am very passionate about Furness and exceptionally proud of our heritage, industrial and shipping legacy and the people who make it everything it is.

Infurness.com operates as an exclusively local, online business directory, making it easier for local residents and area visitors to find over 1700 locally owned businesses in The Furness Peninsula and support our local businesses. It is easily available and free to use on all platforms from your ever present mobile phone, laptop, desktops and tablet.

We offer a complimentary business listing for all Furness-owned businesses with the opportunity for positional, information and functional enhancement to further increase their visibility, profile and better return on investment.

The INfurness Business Directory also has a commitment to the local community of Furness in providing local health, government and community information and contact details.

Soon to be launched is our  ‘INfurness Opportunities Fund Programme’, a funding platform for local people who wish to launch a business dream or take further qualifications to enhance their career and learning to enhance a career or develop positive projects that benefit the Furness area. This stems from the fact that I was funded very generously by The Fisher Foundation, many years ago, to pursue my dream of working on stage. It is now my wish to help pay something back and invest what I can in Furness.

St. Mary’s Hospice has always held a special place in my heart since it’s inception over 30 years ago. The incredible level and quality of care continuously provided by a wonderfully committed team for those who need such dedicated comfort and care at the hardest time of life has always left me in awe. We all come into this world equal and all leave the same way. It’s a beautiful service to make that time so special and I applaud it.”
