This year the nurses at St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston have chosen to donate food to the Barrow food bank rather than sending Christmas cards. The In-patient unit staff came up with the idea and shared it amongst staff who also added to the donations.
Angela Mason: “This is the second year we’ve donated and everyone loves the idea that we can help give back to our community. We care for patients and families all year round. It seems fitting at this special time of year to extend our help to families in need. “
