If you are an Executor and/or are administering a Will that includes a gift to St Mary’s Hospice, we understand that this can be a difficult and stressful process and we wish to offer as much practical support as we are able.

Paying a Gift
All gifts in wills are managed by our Legacies Fundraiser who is based in the Fundraising team at the hospice. The Legacies Officer and our Finance team are the only people authorised to give a proper receipt and discharge to executors.
You can send a cheque payable to ‘The Hospice of St Mary of Furness’ to:

When initially contacting us about a Legacy we are really grateful if you can provide the following information:
- The full name and title of the deceased
- Their last address
- The date of death
- The date probate was granted
- The executor’s name and contact details
- Any information about the reason for the legacy
